Macromedia released the Spry Framework for Ajax recently. This set of javascript files seems to make Ajax implementation a lot easier than otherwise for the web design community.
The current set of library seem to a bit basic, but I am sure Adobe will add more to it soon. May be an integration with Dreamweaver would go a long way in helping the web developers build Ajax applications faster.
