Today, a dear friend of mine asked me to send the list of plugins I use in Firefox along with details on what they do. I thought I should post it here for others as well.
So, here are some of the plugins I frequently use. Please feel free to post your recommendations as well.
Read It Later allows you to save pages of interest to read later. It eliminates cluttering of bookmarks with sites that are merely of a one-time interest.
Bookmark directly to your Delicious account and access them from the browser menu like your favorites. Access them where ever you go and keep them organized. You no more have to worry about your bookmarks when you format your machine or leave an organization.
It will capture what you can see in the window, the entire page, just a selection, a particular frame… basically it saves webpages as images – either to a file, or to the clipboard.
With ColorZilla you can get a color reading from any point in your browser, quickly adjust this color and paste it into another program. You can Zoom the page you are viewing and measure distances between any two points on the page. The built-in palette browser allows choosing colors from pre-defined color sets and saving the most used colors in custom palettes. DOM spying features allow getting various information about DOM elements quickly and easily. And there’s more…
Time Tracking System Filling up the timesheet never interested me and the thought of remembering what I did through out the day and putting time against each one of them was a pain
